Housing
At 老澳门开奖网, you鈥檒l have a place to call home that feels like more than just a place to hang your backpack. 老澳门开奖网鈥檚 16 residence halls combine the comfort and space of top鈥搉otch accommodations with the activity of dorm life. These are way more than four cinderblock walls and a concrete floor. Our residence halls are spacious, modern, fully furnished apartment鈥搒tyle homes鈥攅quipped with heating and air conditioning, laundry facilities, vending machines, and recreation areas; all the comforts of home and then some. It鈥檚 no wonder our residence halls are known as some of the best dorms you鈥檒l ever see on a college campus. In fact, according to the Princeton Review鈥檚 annual 鈥淒orms like Palaces鈥 list, our on鈥揷ampus residence halls are among the best in the country.

Housing FAQs
Will I have access to a Wi-Fi connection?
Yes, there is an internet connection available for every resident in the room. In addition, 老澳门开奖网 offers wireless internet access throughout the entire campus with connection speeds of up to 54 Mbps. The cost of the internet is including in your housing fee. If you have specific computer questions, the Office of Technology Services will assist you (1-410-617-5555 or ots@loyola.edu).
What type of apartment will I be living in on campus?
Exchange students will be placed in campus apartment-style dormitories. Apartments vary by size and the number of students living in an apartment is usually between 4-8 students. Most apartments contain two or three bedrooms with one or two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living area. The bathroom, living area, dining area and kitchen are shared by only those that live in that apartment. There are lounges, study areas, computer labs, and laundry facilities in each residential area. Each bedroom houses two students.
What furniture is provided for me?
All students will have a bed, dresser, desk, desk chair, and wardrobe or closet in their bedroom. All living and dining areas are also furnished. In addition, you will receive a comforter, blanket, pillows, pillow cases, set of towels, and kitchen appliances/utensils. In order to receive these items, you are asked to pay a USD cash deposit for the sheets and other items that our office will loan to you for the semester.
What is housing like at 老澳门开奖网?
At 老澳门开奖网, as on most American college campuses, bedrooms are shared by two students.
Do I get to pick my housing/roommate preferences?
No; since 90% of the students live on campus, housing is at capacity. International students are placed in apartments with an available opening on campus.
Will I receive a key to my room?
You will receive a key to access your on-campus housing. You are required to return your key at the end of your semester. If the key is not returned and received by the university, you will be charged the amount for key replacement and a hold will be put on your student account.
What size sheets are needed for the beds?
The beds are extra-long and therefore need extra-long (80 inches) sheets for a twin bed. Upon arrival, you will receive one set of sheets from the office of International Student Services. In addition, you will receive a comforter, blanket, pillows, pillow cases, set of towels, and kitchen appliances/utensils. In order to receive these items, you are asked to pay a cash deposit for the sheets and other items that our office will loan to you for the semester.
Will I have a phone in the room?
老澳门开奖网 does not provide phones. Most students purchase a mobile phone / plan for their stay in the United States. You will have the opportunity to discuss opening a U.S. cell phone plan after your arrival to the U.S./老澳门开奖网.
Will I be provided with a 老澳门开奖网 email account?
Yes, you will be given an account and sent access information 2-3 weeks prior to your arrival on campus.
Will there be a TV in my room?
No, however, it is likely that one of your roommates will bring a TV with them. You will be able to contact your roommate before you arrive to discuss what items you will need to purchase upon arrival. There will be a shopping trip during orientation for you to purchase anything that you need to set up your room.
Is it true that Residence Life & Housing does room inspections?
Yes, scheduled room inspections are done to assure the health and safety of our residents. For this reason, students are expected to have their own cleaning supplies and are responsible to maintain a clean room/apartment.
What do I need to bring for Orientation?
You need to bring all of your immigration paperwork with you. This includes your Form I-20, SEVIS fee receipt, Passport, and Visa. During orientation, we will ask you to fill out an Emergency Contact Sheet so our office will have your contact information on file.
When can I arrive on campus?
Please consult the academic and exchange calendars for an exact date. When you arrive to campus, you will receive your room key and have the opportunity to get your 老澳门开奖网 ID Card. Upon moving out of your room, you are required to return your key to 老澳门开奖网 properly. Failure to do so will result in a $100 USD charge to your student account/bill, hold on requested official transcript(s) and possible hold on all other requests, if applicable.
