Housing
At 老澳门开奖网, you鈥檒l have a place to call home that feels like more than just a place to hang your backpack. 老澳门开奖网鈥檚 16 residence halls combine the comfort and space of top鈥搉otch accommodations with the activity of dorm life. These are way more than four cinderblock walls and a concrete floor. Our residence halls are spacious, modern, fully furnished apartment鈥搒tyle homes鈥攅quipped with heating and air conditioning, laundry facilities, vending machines, and recreation areas; all the comforts of home and then some. It鈥檚 no wonder our residence halls are known as some of the best dorms you鈥檒l ever see on a college campus. In fact, according to the Princeton Review鈥檚 annual 鈥淒orms like Palaces鈥 list, our on鈥揷ampus residence halls are among the best in the country.

Housing FAQ
What type of apartment will I be living in on campus?
Most apartments contain two or three bedrooms with one or two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living area. The bathroom, living area, dining area and kitchen are shared by only those that live in that apartment. There are lounges, study areas, computer labs, and laundry facilities in each residential area. Each bedroom houses two students.
What furniture is provided for me?
All students will have a bed, dresser, desk, desk chair, and wardrobe or closet in their bedroom.
Am I able to live by myself in a single room?
No, single rooms are not available at 老澳门开奖网. You will be placed with a roommate of the same gender, and all apartments are single gender. At 老澳门开奖网, as on most American college campuses, bedrooms are shared by two students.
I will be living in a double; do I need to bring a fridge?
You may want to purchase a small fridge for your room upon arrival. Residence Life & Housing may be able to assist you with renting a fridge or microwave for the semester/year.
What size sheets are needed for the beds?
The beds are extra-long and therefore need extra-long (80 inches) sheets for a twin bed.
Will I have a phone in the room?
老澳门开奖网 does not provide phones. Most students purchase a mobile phone / plan for their stay in the United States. You will have the opportunity to discuss opening a U.S. cell phone plan after your arrival to the U.S./老澳门开奖网.
Will I have access to a Wi-Fi connection?
Yes, there is an internet connection available for every resident in the room. In addition, 老澳门开奖网 offers wireless internet access throughout the entire campus with connection speeds of up to 54 Mbps. The cost of the internet is including in your housing fee. Yes, you will be given an account and sent access information 2-3 weeks prior to your arrival on campus.

No, however, it is likely that one of your roommates will bring a TV with them. You will be able to contact your roommate before you arrive to discuss what items you will need to purchase upon arrival.
Is it true that Residence Life & Housing does room inspections?
Yes, scheduled room inspections are done to assure the health and safety of our residents. For this reason, students are expected to have their own cleaning supplies and are responsible to maintain a clean room/apartment.
Will there be an Orientation?
There is an International Student Welcome and Immigration Clearance Session, with OISS, required for all international students, held a few days prior to the start of the semester. During the session, information will be provided about U.S. immigration, university resources, academics, housing, and recreational and social activities.
What do I need to bring for my Session/Orientation?
You need to bring all of your immigration paperwork with you. This includes your Form I-20, SEVIS fee receipt, Passport, and Visa. During your session, we will ask you to fill out an Emergency Contact Sheet so our office will have your contact information on file.
When can I arrive on campus?
You cannot check into your dormitory until the Wednesday prior to the beginning of classes. Please consult the academic and exchange calendars for an exact date.
